Minnesota Statutes - 504B.114 PET DECLAWING AND DEVOCALIZATION PROHIBITED

Did you know that it is ILLEGAL for a landlord to require that tenants declaw or devocalize their animals as a condition of tenancy?!? The law went into effect on January 1, 2024.

Landlords cannot refuse to rent to a tenant, require a current tenant to declaw or devocalize their pet, or advertise in a way that suggests declawing or devocalization is a requirement for tenancy.

Facebook!

We just wanted to let everyone that we have regained full control of our Facebook page! It is safe tp donate via Facebook again!

For those of you that didn't know, Angel of Hope Animal Rescue recently lost control over their Facebook page. There was a week long period where we could not login our account at all because the admins had been changed without our consent.

After many, many complaints and reports filed with Facebook, and a ton of advice from many of you - our Facebook page was finally restored and we were given back full control earlier this week.

During our week off, an AOH group was made, as well as a temporary AOH page, but those were temporary and this page will remain as our main Facebook page. Just an FYI!

And - it is safe to use the donate button again, as well!

So the next couple of days you will be seeing posts that we were unable to post last week. And some other updates we were unable to share.

If anyone has any questions, please email us at questions@aohrescue.org.

Thank you!

Barbossa

Look at what a difference rescue makes!

On the day of our visit, we took in five cats, all suffering from severe upper respiratory infections, with Barbossa in the worst condition. Our vet team examined them immediately and started them on antibiotics and antiviral medications. While the others improved quickly, Barbossa’s recovery lagged, and our worst fears were confirmed – he had FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis)
